Building Community: TCP Atlantic Station Joins Atlanta Habitat’s Pride Build

At The Car Park, community isn’t just where we work—it’s who we serve. Recently, team members from our Atlantic Station parking and shuttle operations stepped out from behind the wheel and into hard hats to take part in Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, an inclusive volunteer initiative focused on making affordable homeownership possible for families across the city.

A Day of Service, A Lifetime of Impact

Our team—Ben, Ed, Josh, Curt, Jay, and Sidney—spent the day on-site helping to build a new home from the ground up. From cutting lumber and framing walls to clearing materials and supporting site crews, their efforts contributed directly to turning one woman’s dream into reality.

That woman is Jasmine, a longtime MARTA operator, proud mom to David (12) and Maliyah (11), and an inspiring example of perseverance.

“Now I will have something to leave to my children in the future,” Jasmine shared, reflecting on her path to homeownership—something she once thought was out of reach.

What It Takes to Build a Home

As part of Atlanta Habitat’s program, Jasmine is completing 250 sweat-equity hours, 17 homeowner education classes, and five financial coaching sessions, along with a low down payment and no-interest mortgage. These requirements ensure long-term affordability, stability, and pride in homeownership.

“It’s powerful to step away from your day-to-day and do work that directly supports someone’s future,” said Ben Wesley, Regional Vice President at The Car Park. “We were grateful for the chance to help Jasmine and be part of something bigger.”

Living Our Values Through Service

At The Car Park, we believe that our work extends beyond structures and spaces—it’s about people and the communities we serve. Participating in the Pride Build is one way we live out our values of service, connection, and integrity, while supporting a more inclusive and equitable future.
