Smart Fixes, Big Impact: A Booth Makeover in Raleigh

Sometimes a little creativity, teamwork, and a fresh perspective make a big difference.

That was the case at one of our client’s long-serving garages in Raleigh, where an aging white booth stood out against recent equipment upgrades. Removing the booth wasn’t in the budget—it would’ve cost another $10,000 on top of the new equipment. But letting it sit in that condition, empty and nonfunctional, wasn’t the best option either. At the same time, our team was looking for a better way to display key safety and parking messages.

That’s when Aiham Mourad, General Manager, got to work. He reached out to Area Manager John Fair to see if the maintenance team could repaint the booth—something simple that wouldn’t cost much. The maintenance team took on the job and made a big visual difference for under $100.

With a fresh coat of paint in place, the next step was making the booth feel more intentional and useful. That’s when Roger Cole from the marketing team became involved.

I shared the idea with Roger, and he jumped in right away. He came up with a design that really worked. I showed it to the owners, and they gave it the green light.

The solution? A full visual refresh, led by Aiham Mourad and his Raleigh team, with signage support from Roger Cole on the marketing team. The booth was repainted and repurposed with high-visibility signage that helps guests navigate the space more safely and effectively. The result is clean, cohesive, and on-brand.

The impact was immediate—and people noticed.

After the transformation was complete, Aiham sent a quick photo to the property manager—who was instantly impressed. A few days later, the property owner made a special trip just to see the booth in person. Not only did they love what they saw, they followed up with a personal thank-you note, saying the upgrade brought new life to the garage and made the entire space feel refreshed and revitalized.

This project is a great example of how our teams step up with practical solutions that add real value—no huge budget or heavy construction needed. Aiham saw an opportunity to improve the experience for both the client and parkers, and the result speaks for itself. This is what builds relationships with clients by demonstrating value above and beyond their expectations and making a lasting impact.
